We had a doubly incontinent dog during my late teens and we only found out that doggie diapers are a thing after she died and our carpets were ruined and replaced. So I'm leaving this comment just in case you or someone else needs to be told that doggie diapers are a thing and you don't just have to put up with ruined carpets. Probably you already know and there's a very good reason why your dog or your blackout moose can't wear them. I wouldn't know. I don't even have an incontinent dog anymore, because like I said she died peacefully of old age a long time ago, but I do know that chronic depression sucks. I had it then and I have it now, just better medicated. I hope you feel better soon (and your dog too if possible).

I would like to see you do this for someone who has contamination OCD. For me, the inside/outside of every cabinet/drawer, etc has to be cleaned, and then every item cleaned before being put away (if it's not already been cleaned). And you have to make sure nothing "dirty" touches the clean items/spaces, including your own clothes/skin (if they're not "clean").

Don't eat the ceiling! And lots of other great tips! Nice job guys!

If only my grandma would understand that my piles of stuff IS organized and she moving stuff around isn't helping anyone. Just because she's not seeing it, doesn't mean now it's organized, and it just sents me into these awful bursts of rage that I hate so much and can't control it when I get so upset and have meltdowns because the stuff I spent so long getting together so I would know exactly where it was whenever I needed again is suddenly gone because she "put away because it was a mess". Gosh, I love my grandma, but I would just love to have my own stuff be respected, but she thinks I'm useless and messy. I literally work the whole day, and I just wanna get home and find my hair tie and clip where I left so I just can put my hair up, take a shower and sleep, and I can't even have that. I have to calm myself down not to scream at her for "tying it up"... and I just put it on the counter in the bathroom, it's not in a weird place at all. Gosh, it's all so frustrating

I live alone and for years I have always been overwhelmed with my ADHD chaos, constantly trying to get things in order, and forever chasing my tail, exhausting myself each time. With also physical disabilities, and depression, I slump and start to flounder. I've never known how to deal with it or accept it. UNTIL I came across this particular video. WOW. It's really NOT me, no shame or blame or guilt now. From watching this video, I'm beginning to accept my chaos, understanding how it impacts me. I'd love a clone of you in Australia lol. I live rural, and no help like yours is available. How would I engage the services to help me like what you're doing? Could I share this video to a community page in my town? Isopropilic alcohol is truly the end-all, as far as I'm concerned. Quick story time, for those who are interested: I used to be (still am) someone that doesn't clean very often. I'm just a lazy dude, so usually my house needs to arrive at very high dirty/disordered levels before I get the motivation to get up and clean. Before, that used to make it pretty unsustainable: intense bouts of cleaning, followed by long periods where things would accumulate and accumulate, up to some months before rinse and repeating. Later on though, I started working as a mechanic. Based on my experience, I would say that about 50% of good results in that aspect, come from properly cleaning the parts and the components; the rest being the know-how to properly calibrate etc. But the cleaning part is HUGE, certainly much more than I thought before going into that line of work. There are lot of products (industrial cleaning products) that go into that sort of work... But when you gain enough knowledge on how to differentiate, you realize that A LOT of it you can just use isopropilic alcohol. So, I started doing the same also for the cleaning of my house. It's amazing how multipurpose it is, and how you REALLY don't need a lot of different fancy stuff. Just a bottle with (I would say) 25% ispopropilic alcohol, a few dishwater drops and the rest plain water, will allow you to clean and sanitize almost anything. Also, during the COVID pandemic, I never bought the farmaceutical products that they told you (at least in my country) that you needed to use for disinfection. I just used the usual 25% isopropilic alcohol, 75% water mix, sprayed it anywhere (clothes, mask, etc) when coming back from groceries and let it naturally evaporate. Never caught COVID, nor anyone in my household.

Its not just all about dirt though. Stuff can still look dirty if its messy. Like having random stuff and trays of unused objects laying around.

My mother in law is a hoarder and her mom was a hoarder and lived with them too. Her house is worse than this and it's huge. I love her dearly but I dread this process when she passes. Thank you for this video and what you do, and the compassion you do it with.

I'm like Mack to a point, I do find that getting up and doing something helps when I'm feeling down. I think I just live day to day with a sort of low level depression, but I also deal with severe episodes sort of like what he's talking about. My thoughts get very dark, I'm prone to crying bouts, I can only think about everything I hate about my life and myself. Surprisingly, I can still function through all that garbage. I go to work, I shower, I make food. I have no idea how I do it, but I swear at those times your brain is so your own worst enemy and just keeps telling you all the most awful things. It generally fades away after a week to 10 days, but man, that is a tough ride I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy. I hope anyone who reads this is having a good day and if you're not, I'm sorry and I hope things look up for you soon.

My wife has ADHD and bipolar. Watching this video nearly made me have a nervous breakdown watching it. It looks exactly like my place. So many times I've begged her to try and help me clean the place. I've given up and just keep a room all to myself that's cleaned up and orderly. I've realized that she simply can't help it and try to be compassionate and understanding. We just focus on keeping it hygienic instead of "clean."

The other channel I like is called “clean with confidence.” With autism, I need to see a visual before I clean. That really helps
